The National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) is advising all tournament organizers to strictly observe the foregoing NCFP Guidelines for Tournament Sanctions which will take effect on June 1, 2017.

  1. The organizer/s must be an organization affiliated with the National Chess Federation of the Philippines or an individual attached to an organization affiliated with NCFP.
  2. Request for sanction must be submitted to the NCFP at least two (2) weeks before the start of the event, together with the following information:


    a. Title of Tournament
    b. Tournament Format (standard, rapid or blitz chess); time control; number of rounds.
    c. Date/s of the event and venue.
    d. Name of the Chief Arbiter (National Arbiter or higher) and/or Assistant Arbiters (all arbiters must be members in good standing of the Chess Arbiters Union of the Philippines (CAUP) and duly licensed by CAUP.

  3. Sanction Fee is PhP1,500.00 per tournament, inclusive of the ratings fee and must be paid upon submission of the request for NCFP sanction.
